Is it possible to change the front bumper and driver side fender by yourself?

I found a new bumper and front side fender at a very cheap price. Since it was my fault i cant take it to the insurance, so would i be able to change it without taking to a shop. I didnt want to buy the parts and later find out that there is more to it than what it looks like. Is there a link where it shows how to change one? I have a nissan altima, 96.|||That's how you do it .............You will still get a check from the Ins. Co.

Don't tell them you are going to fix it yet, let them get an estiment from a shop for the repair.

They will cut you the check ,and you fix it yourself|||Sure you can.Keep some wd40 handy and work safe.|||Sure you can, take it slow and easy and don't be afraid to draw a little detail drawing so you'll remember where things go. Have a buddy help you, it will be a lot easier. Remember that if the headlight is in the fender you'll want to get the headlight re-aliened.|||I would bet it is.. maybe you should take it to a redneck.|||most fenders anymore are spot welded on so you will need a mig welder to put the new fender back on at least on the door pillar.|||CONSIDERING THE DAMAGE YOU DESCRIBE, YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO DO THE REPAIR YOURSELF. REASON BEING THE IMPACT MAY HAVE MOVED THE RADIATOR SUPPORT OR THE SUBSTRUCTURE WHERE YOU MOUNT THE FENDER DOWN THE SIDE, AND THEN THINGS DON'T LINE UP AND THE CAR HAS TO BE PUT ON A FRAME MACHINE.IF YOU HAVE NO BODY REPAIR EXPERIENCE THIS COULD BE A TOUGH JOB.
