How much does it typically cost to repair front end damage, like replacing the bumper and a head headlight?

day I spun out and hit a gaurdrail. The drivers side of my bumper got hit pretty bad, the head light got knocked lose and the entire bumper is dented. The hood is fine however, and the passenger head light is just fine. Basically bumper down I need to be replaced. Oh, its a 1996 Honda Accord.|||It really depends on how much damage there is what you see might not be the only damage there is. From there it depends on the shop you take it to and who you have do the work. If you want to try and do it on a budget I recomend you look around at pick a parts and try to find the parts your self. This will be much cheaper then getting it fromt he dealer ship or having a body shop get it for you. Even if the body shop gets it from a pick a part they are going to mark it up. If you've got some male friends that know a decent amount cars they can probably help you. Search pick a parts for the parts you need. I would just shop around and get estimates (they should be free).|||Depends on how hard you hit the guard-rail. The car could have frame damage or it could not have frame damage and you won't know until a body shop takes a look.

If they replace it, I know new front bumpers are around $200. Plus another $50 or so in paints. Labor is gonna depend on the shop. Headlight will sell for around $150.

So maybe, and this is a very rough estimate, around $500 - IF there's no damage to the frame, if there is frame damage you can expect that number to jump up much higher.

When I was in an accident, my front bumper and engine hood were both ruined in the accident. I had no frame damage, but just to have a body shop install a new front bumper, bumper support bar, new engine hood, headlight, and color match the new bumper and hood I was quoted in the $2200-$2400 range by multiple shops. It's amazing how expensive body/paint repairs can be.|||Junk yards that have cars are your best bet but you may have to do a paint job to it in order to match it up. Dittos with the headlight. You can find an automotive repair book at any auto parts store, which means you can probably find it as a PDF for free if you look in the right places. This book will help you replace the bumper and the headlight step by step. I suggest finding the book first that way you will know what kind of a headache you may be in for.

Good luck
