How much does it cost to replace a bumper?

I don't think it's actually the bumper its actually the thing below it where my fog lights are etc. It can sort of pop on and off a grill maybe? It's for a 2000 Volkswagon Beetle. I just need a ball park range I know every body shop has different prices. Im just debating on whether or not to put an insurance claim in or not.|||depending on where you live try pull a part their prices are the same on all year model parts no matter what and you might get lucky they have a web site|||Are you talking about the air dam? If so and plastic you should be able to get replaced for less than $200. The body shops you contact should give you a free written estimate. Do not proceed with repairs with a written estimate you approve. If you can find the part in a wrecking yard it would save you some $$
