Can a crack in a car bumper be repaired?

I have a 2005 Nissan Altima with a crack in the front bumper. The crack is about 6-8 inches long. I was wondering if there was a material that a collision shop would use to sort of "spackle" the crack rather than replace the entire bumper?|||they can be plastic welded back,,i own a repair shop, and we do that sort of work ,it can be welded and re-painted ,but its not cheap ,around 400 to re- do it,,good luck i hope this help,s|||your welcome.

|||They will have to replace the bumper|||get you some jb weld.its made for thing like that|||Yeah I think it can, but you need to get this special repair kit, I'm not quite sure what it's called though. Sorry|||I think that you need to contact your dealership and find out what you have to do. If you have a 2005 go to the nissan dealership and they should be able to help you with that, i have a nissan as well, that is my advice|||you can fix that yourself.just get some jb weld and fix it yourself,it will save a lot of money.|||it can be repaired but most shops want to replace the bumper and get more money|||there is a two patr epoxy that is made for repairing the new bumpers,it is available at body shop supply, you mix it ,put it on sand and paint and its stronger than the original bumper|||it would never look the same you can try heating it to melt a seam but it will show the melt mark a new piece is only a couple of hundred bucks try your insurrance company to see if they will cover it or you can tell your home owners insurance that you hit it with your bike and that might cover it. :)~|||Fiber glass repair kit will hold longer than JB Weld. With vibration all cracks will reappear.|||Yes a urathane repair kit sold in larger auto stores. You may have to remove the bumper to repair the crack.
