How do you take off paint on a Urethane bumper?

I need to repaint my bumper, how do i take off paint on Urethane? I was thinking a really fine grit of sandpaper or paint stripper.|||DO NOT use paint stripper..... It can damage the plasics that most bumpers are made of.... WHY do you want to strip the paint off? If its not cracked then just sand it down to remove the shine only... It is not necessary to remove the paint to the plastic... If your doing this by hand wet sand it 1st with 600 grit sand paper..... Use a water bottle to keep the surface wet while you sand it.... Once the shine and even a bit of the clearcoat is removed then take 1000 grit wet sand paper and work the surface to a flat smooth finish. This 100 grit paper will remove sanding markes the 600 grit may have left behind......... The have your paint shop spray a primer sealer with a flexing agant as a base before whatever paint system your going to use......|||If the paint that is on your bumper is in good shape then you shouldn't need to remove it. Clean and prep it. Wet sand it with 400 grit sandpaper and paint over the old finish. Be sure to use a flex-agent to make the paint and clear flexible.

If you do need to remove the paint use a paint stripper for urethane parts. Klean-Strip makes a good one. It is not as strong as regular paint stripper but it won't hurt your bumper.
